Which gifts qualify?

Gifts meeting the criteria below that are notified to the Division of Development of Alumni Relations.
Donations from all donors given since 1 August 2008.
Donations from small and medium sized trusts and foundations (those who donate less than £60 million a year in total).
Gift Aid donations (the gross value, not including Transitional Relief*, is eligible for matching)
Corporate and overseas gifts that meet the criteria above.
The first £150,000 of any cash gift will be counted (including Gift Aid).

Which gift types count?

Cash gifts, including any installments of standing orders up to the time that the value of the cap given to the University of Manchester runs out, until 1 August 2011.
Shares, valued at the time received by the Division of Development of Alumni Relations.
Donations that are NOT eligible include legacies and gifts in kind.
